She sees numerous clients with hard to treat digestive issues which has led her to become an expert in eradicating parasites.

Before bodywork sessions, she primarily takes a thorough medical history, looks at the client’s structural/postural alignment and listens to the description of the issue to analyze where pain or discomfort initiates. She will then methodically, systematically approach the body holistically using all of her acquired knowledge. Herbal and dietary recommendations will be offered if necessary.

She is results oriented and the treatment is specifically directed to resolve the presenting condition.

Emily grew up in Sydney, Australia actively competing in athletics, mainly 100 meter sprints, touch football and many other sports. Already with a solid fitness background, two events in her youth inspired Emily to take up a natural therapies career. The first was seeing people in pain. Her mother suffered severe headaches that clearly referred from trigger points that Emily accidentally found on her mum’s head as a teenager.

The second was being introduced to wholefoods and botanical medicine. Emily has a deep respect and intimate connection with nature. She had a knowledge of their benefits in promoting and maintaining health. Emily felt pushed by life to help people move through pain and support their overall wellbeing, and to this effect she studied Naturopathy and Massage at Nature Care College.

Emily graduated from Nature Care College in 1998 with an Advanced Diploma in Naturopathy; Diplomas in Herbal Medicine, Homeopathy, Nutrition & Remedial Massage; Certificates in Trigger Point Therapy and Myofascial Release, Iridology, Swedish Massage, Lymphatic Drainage, Counseling & Bach Flower Remedies. She then practiced Naturopathy in a busy multidisciplinary clinic in Sydney, and serendipitously created a successful corporate massage practice.

After 5 years it was time for an adventure. Emily traveled the world and landed in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico in the Riviera Maya. There, she settled, raised a family and continued to practice her purpose and gift.

On brief return to Australia in 2014, Emily joined Balanced Life Osteopathy to work alongside Nick Florance, an outstanding Osteopath, while she updated her studies at the Endeavour College of Natural Health. She is now back in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico.

Throughout her studies and travels, yoga has been a fundamental support to Emily’s inner journey and wellness. She has had a personal yoga practice for the last 30 years and has deepened her understanding of yogic philosophy and practices as well as completed various yoga teacher training sessions with prominent teachers such as Rod Stryker, Dharma Mittra, Judith Lasater and Bryan Kest.

Emily has attended workshops to spend time with facilitator Mary Ann Winniger to deepen her personal growth and profound understanding of life by following her particular Strategy and Authority as a 6/3 Emotional Manifestor, validated in the Human Design Knowledge.

Throughout her life, Emily has understood the need to heal herself, evolve, decondition, and know herself in order to be a true role model. This journey has taken her around the world to be in front of Irish Mystic Ger Lyons for numerous group trauma healing workshops.

She travels the world offering her experience of living her Strategy and Authority co-hosting Immersions, teaching Trigger Point Therapy and giving sessions.

Emily continues to be fascinated with conscious living, functional movement, correct decision making, natural medicine, ancestral wisdom and going on wild, hiking adventures around the world with her beloved partner.

She witnesses the importance of self-care; the right combination of detoxification practices, self-massage, strength/flexibility training, functional movement re-patterning, correct diet, mindfulness practices, and continues to experience health and vitality in this way.

Her self-discovery is shared during her sessions. Emily empowers her clients to continue the work through offering an array of tools and experiences she has gathered along the way.

Emily is a current member of the Complementary Medicine Association (CMA).

The doctor of the future will give no medicine, but will instruct his patient in the care of the human frame, in diet and in the cause and prevention of disease.
